11.08.010 - Streets with imposed limit.

Except as provided in Sections 11.08.020 and 11.08.030, no vehicle in excess of six thousand pounds, including its load, shall utilize any portion of any street within the city.

11.08.020 - Streets excepted.

The provisions of Section 11.08.010 shall not apply to the following streets and portions of streets within the city, which are designated as truck routes within the city:

(a) Huntington Drive, for its entire distance within the city;

(b) Duarte Road, between Mountain Avenue and Highland Avenue;

(c) Mountain Avenue, between Huntington Drive and Duarte Road;

(d) Evergreen Street, between Mountain Avenue and Buena Vista Street;

(e) Buena Vista Street, between Huntington Drive and the southerly city limits;

(f) Highland Avenue, between Huntington Drive and Duarte Road;

(g) Central Avenue, between Highland Avenue and Crestfield Drive.

Except as otherwise provided by Sections 35701 et seq. of the Vehicle Code of the state of California, no vehicle in excess of fourteen thousand pounds, including its load, shall utilize the streets and portions of streets set forth in subsections (a) through (g) of this section.

11.08.030 - Exceptions.

Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit delivery to and removal from locations upon the streets and portions of streets described in Section 11.08.010, by vehicles with a gross weight in excess of six thousand pounds, including load, nor the movement of ambulances, police, fire and other emergency vehicles.

11.08.040 - Signs.

The city council determines, pursuant to the provisions of California Vehicle Code, Section 35701(b) that appropriate signs erected on the streets and portions of streets listed in Section 11.08.020, will best serve to give notice of the provisions of this chapter.

11.08.050 - Violation a misdemeanor.

Violation of any provisions of this chapter is a misdemeanor.
