2.12.010 - Established—Appointment, bond, power and duties.¶
The office of director of finance of the city is established. The director of finance shall be appointed by the city manager with the approval of the city council, and shall execute such public official bond as is required by the city council, and shall exercise all of the powers and be subject to all the duties granted to and imposed upon the city clerk by the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 4, Part 2, Division 3 of Title IV of the Government Code, and sections 40802, 40803, 40804 and 40805 of such Government Code and such other duties as may be assigned.

2.12.020 - City clerk relieved of similar duties.¶
The city clerk shall be relieved of all such duties upon the appointment of the director of finance by the city manager.

2.12.030 - Bond.¶
The director of finance shall execute the bond otherwise required by the city clerk pursuant to Government Code section 36518. Accordingly the city clerk is relieved of the obligation to execute such bond.
