Vent pipes shall be extended separately or combined, of full required size, not less than 6 inches (152 mm) above the roof or firewall. Flagpoling of vents shall be prohibited except where the roof is used for assembly purposes or parking. Vents within 10 feet (3048 mm) of a part of the roof that is used for assembly purposes or parking shall extend not less than 7 feet (2134 mm) above such roof and shall securely stay.
