Sec. 23.1. - Playing ball in streets.

It shall be unlawful for any person to obstruct any public street of the city by pitching, throwing or playing ball therein.

Sec. 23.1-1. - Roller skating and use of skateboards.

(a) Roller skating and the use of skateboards on sidewalks is prohibited in those areas of the city designated as zone C-1, C-2, C-P, M-1, M-2, and A-1 according to the zoning map of the city.

(b) Roller skating and the use of skateboards is prohibited on public parking lots operated by the city.

(c) Roller skating and the use of skateboards is prohibited on private property open to the public for use in conjunction with commercial businesses in those areas of the city designated as zone C-1, C-2, C-P, M-1, M-2 and A-1 according to the zoning map of the city, except with the express permission of the owner or person in lawful possession of such premises.

(d) The city council may by resolution designate specific locations and times when roller skating and use of skateboards may be permitted.

(e) A violation of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor.
