3.08.040 - License required.

Every person before commencing, carrying on, engaging in, conducting or maintaining any business regulated by this chapter, shall first make written application to, and secure from the board of supervisors a license therefor.

3.08.050 - Application for license—Who must apply for.

The application for a license under this chapter shall be made by the person, or members of the firm, copartnership, or association personally, or in the case of a corporation by the manager or officer in actual charge of the business or place of business, under the seal of the corporation, and approved by the president thereof.

3.08.060 - Application for license—Contents—Character statement re: applicant.

The application for license under this chapter shall specify the place where it is intended to carry on the business, and shall be signed by the applicant, and shall be accompanied by a certificate signed by at least three reputable residents of the county, certifying to the good moral character and reputation of the persons or person making the application. No license shall be granted to any person who does not bear a good character and reputation for honesty and integrity in the neighborhood in which he resides.

3.08.070 - Revocation of license.

The board of supervisors may revoke for good cause any license issued under this chapter. Violation of any of the laws of the United States or of the state, or of any of the provisions of this chapter, or unlawful possession by a licensee under this chapter of any stolen automobile or of stolen parts or accessories of any automobile, is good cause for revocation and termination of any license issued under this chapter.
