2.68.010 - Applicability—Definition.

A. This chapter applies to members of the planning commission, recreation commission, airport commission, cultural arts commission, and to members of such other commissions and boards as the city council may designate by ordinance.

B. As used in this chapter, "commissioner" means any member of a commission or board to which this chapter applies.

2.68.020 - Suspension and removal.

The city council may remove a commissioner for any reason, with or without cause, so long as the reason is not an unconstitutional one. In its sole discretion, the city council may suspend a commissioner for no longer than sixty days while considering his removal. During his suspension, the commissioner shall be excused from attending meetings of the board or commission of which he is a member. No hearing shall be required before the suspension or removal of a commissioner.

2.68.030 - Filling of vacancy after removal.

The city council may appoint a successor to serve for the unexpired term of any commissioner removed pursuant to this chapter.
