2.20.010 - Office established.

The office of city engineer of the city is created and established, the incumbent of which shall be appointed by and hold office during the pleasure of the city council.

2.20.020 - Compensation.

The city engineer shall receive such compensation as shall be allowed by the city council and his necessary help and assistants shall be paid by the city as other laborers are.

2.20.030 - Duties.

A. The city engineer shall fix the grades of streets, alleys, sidewalks and highways in the city. Make such maps, plans and specifications, profiles and cross-sections as are required of him by the city council and perform such other duties as are required by law.

B. He shall keep a record of all work done by him and all his records, calculations, data, books, maps, plans and profiles shall be, and remain the property of the city, and shall be kept in a secure place and open to public inspection.
