Wheatland Municipal Code Ch. 2.14 Director of Finance

The position of director of finance is hereby created in the city. The city manager or in his or her stead any person appointed by the city council as the city's chief administrative officer shall be the city's director of finance.

Unless specifically prohibited by resolution of the city council the duties and title of the director of finance may be delegated in writing by the city manager or person designated as the city's chief administrative officer to anyone selected by such person.

The director of finance shall have and perform all the duties enumerated in Sections 40801, 40802, 40804, and 40805 of the Government Code. The director of finance shall also have those duties otherwise imposed on the city clerk by Article 3 of Part 2 of the Division 3 of the Government Code including but not limited to the provisions of Sections 37201 through 37209 of the Government Code.

The director of finance shall be in charge of the collection and proper remittance of all license, tax and user fees and moneys collected by the city.

From time to time the city council may designate by resolution other duties or responsibilities of the director of finance.

The director of finance shall procure an official bond pursuant to Section 36518 of the Government Code.
