Chapter 18.88 — ENFORCEMENT

§ 18.88.010. Enforcement authority.

  • A. The secretary to the planning commission shall be responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of this title.

  • B. This title may also be enforced by any authorized representative of the city clerk.

  • C. The chief of police is designated as an authorized representative of the city clerk. (Ord. 337 Exh. A, 1991)

§ 18.88.020. Compliance with provisions required.

All departments, officers and public employees vested with the duty or authority to issue permits, certificates or licenses shall issue no permit, certificate or license for uses, buildings or purposes within the city in conflict with the provisions of these regulations, and any such permit, certificate or license issued in conflict with the provisions of these regulations shall be null and void. (Ord. 337 Exh. A, 1991)

§ 18.88.030. Penalties for violation.

Any person, whether principal, agent, employee, or otherwise, violating or causing or permitting the violation of any of the provisions of this title may be guilty of the following:

  • A. A misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment; or

  • B. An infraction.

§ 18.88.040. Violations deemed nuisance.

Any building or use operated or maintained contrary to the provisions of this title shall be, and the same is declared to be a public nuisance and shall be subject to injunction and abatement as such. (Ord. 337 Exh. A, 1991)

§ 18.88.050. Remedies cumulative.

The remedies provided in this title shall be cumulative and not exclusive. (Ord. 337 Exh. A, 1991)
