2.410.110 Purpose.¶
This division constitutes the administrative code of the city relating to the city’s commissions, boards, and committees. It is adopted pursuant to the provisions of Section 1000 of the City Charter that requires the city council to adopt an administrative code by ordinance. It implements, in particular, Section 1000(d) of the Charter that requires the administrative code to provide for the creation or abolition of such advisory boards and commissions as are authorized by the general laws of the state of California or as in the city council’s judgment are required. 2.410.120 Commissions, boards, and committees established.¶
The following commissions, boards, and committees are established:
A. Planning commission consisting of seven members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.415.
B. Design review committee consisting of five members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.420.
C. Parks and recreation commission consisting of seven members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.425.
D. Historic preservation committee consisting of five members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.430.
E. Arts and culture commission consisting of seven members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.470.
F. Reserved.
G. Reserved.
H. Parking advisory committee consisting of seven members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.455.
I. Water commission consisting of seven members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 2.460.
J. Mobile home rent review board consisting of five members with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 6.600.
K. Local building/housing appeals board consisting of seven members of city council with qualifications, duties, and powers as specified in Chapter 12.115, Section 12.115.020(A)(11).
