2.455.010 Administration.

2.455.020 Qualifications for service.

The parking advisory committee shall consist of seven members appointed by the city council from the following categories:

A. One member shall be a city resident who has been recommended for appointment by a nonprofit community organization that has demonstrated an interest in paid parking.

B. Four members shall be property owners, business owners, business operators, business managers, or residents within a quarter mile of paid parking areas.

2.455.030 Duties.

The parking advisory committee shall have the power, and it shall be its duty, to:

A. Consider and make recommendations on issues or questions relating to citywide parking.

B. Assist, advise, and make recommendations to the city council, parking authority, planning commission, and staff, upon request of those bodies and persons.

C. Advise on parking management strategies and programs for citywide parking.

D. Review and make advisory recommendations regarding management, maintenance, and operations of citywide parking, including such matters as maintenance, operating and capital budgets, hours of operation, parking pricing policies, valet programs, and employee commuter parking policies.
