2.36.010 - Creation.¶
There is hereby created a citizens' committee consisting of ten members, to be appointed by the board of supervisors, to be known as the welfare advisory committee of the county. Except for the initial members the term of office shall be for two years.

2.36.020 - Membership—Appointment—Vacancy.¶
Each supervisor shall appoint two members. Of the initial members appointed, five members, which shall consist of one appointed by each supervisor, term shall expire December 31, 1963 and the remaining five members' term shall expire December 31, 1964. In the event of a vacancy in the committee, the supervisor from the district making the appointment shall appoint a successor. The county welfare director and such other county officials as the committee deems necessary may be appointed as ex officio members.

2.36.030 - Members' travel expenses.¶
Each member may be allowed actual travel expenses at the rate established by the board of supervisors for other county officials, and further, they may recover travel and per diem expenses outside the county. All requests for reimbursement of travel and per diem are subject to approval by the board of supervisors.

2.36.040 - Meetings.¶
The committee shall meet at such times as it deems advisable.

2.36.050 - Duties and responsibilities.¶
The duties and responsibilities of the committee shall be as follows: to represent the board of supervisors or to assist the board of supervisors at any federal or state hearing on welfare matters. The committee shall not represent the board of supervisors until consent of the board of supervisors has been obtained.

2.36.060 - Restrictions of powers.¶
The welfare advisory committee shall not interfere in the administration or operation of the welfare department and shall not be entitled to access to any individual file and shall in no way interfere with welfare investigation.
