2.20.010 - Members—Appointment.

The planning commission shall consist of five members. Each member of the board of supervisors shall nominate one member of the planning commission, subject to confirmation by the full board of supervisors.

2.20.030 - Members—Term.

Each member of said planning commission shall serve for a term which shall expire on the date that the member's nominating supervisor leaves office, subject to Section 2.20.040.

2.20.040 - Members—Termination of term.

The board of supervisors may terminate the term for which any member of said planning commission were appointed according to the provisions of this chapter, with or without cause, at the pleasure of the board of supervisors.

2.20.050 - Members—Vacancy.

If a vacancy occurs on the planning commission due to any cause, it shall be filled in the manner provided by the ordinance from which this section derives.

2.20.060 - Members—Compensation.

The members of the planning commission shall receive as compensation the sum of sixty dollars each for their attendance at each meeting or special meeting and sixty dollars per day for attending field trips on behalf of the planning commission within the county when such trips consume the major portion of a day. The chairperson of the planning commission shall receive as compensation the sum of seventy-five dollars for their attendance at each meeting or special meeting and seventy-five dollars per day for attending a field trip on behalf of the planning commission within the county when such trips consume the major portion of a day. In addition, each member other than ex officio or advisory members shall be allowed reasonable travel expenses as provided by the county travel policy from their usual place of business to the place of meeting the commission.

2.20.070 - Compensation of secretary—Other expenses.

The commission shall appoint a secretary who need not be a member of the commission and who shall receive as compensation the sum of fifty dollars per month. Any and all such payments heretofore made for the compensation of the secretary of said commission are hereby approved. No other expenses shall be incurred by the planning commission except as shall be duly authorized by the commission, and approved by the board of supervisors.
