2.05.010 - Office established.

There is hereby established, on and after September 1, 1986, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 27640 et seq., the office of county counsel.

2.05.020 - Assistants and deputies.

Notwithstanding any other provision of the Tehama County Code, other ordinance, resolution or regulation of the county, such assistants or deputies as may be provided the county counsel by the county pursuant to Section 27644 of the Government Code shall serve at the will and pleasure of the county counsel; provided, however, such assistants and deputies shall have not less than fifteen days' notice in writing of the county counsel's intention to remove them before their removal shall become final. During such fifteen days, such assistant or deputy may be suspended or relieved of his duties by the county counsel.

2.05.030 - Preparation of ordinance summaries.

The county counsel may, and if directed by the board of supervisors shall, prepare a fair and adequate summary of any ordinance proposed for adoption by the board of supervisors pursuant to Government Code section 25124, subdivision (b). The clerk of the board of supervisors shall timely publish any summary prepared by the county counsel pursuant to this section without further order of the board, and shall otherwise fulfill the requirements of Government Code section 25124, subdivision (b). Compliance with the foregoing procedures shall satisfy the publication requirements of Government Code section 25124.
