2.04.010 - Establishment.

There shall be hereafter established for the county two justice courts to have jurisdiction as established by the laws of the state, which courts shall become operative at the dates hereinafter specified.

2.04.020 - Nomenclature.

The names of such courts shall be the Corning Justice Court, which shall have jurisdiction over Corning Judicial District, and the Red Bluff Justice Court, which shall have jurisdiction over Red Bluff Judicial District.

2.04.030 - Area included.

The area included in Corning Judicial District shall be that portion of the county bounded on the south, west and east by the county boundary of the county and on the north by a line described as follows, to wit:

Being all the land within the boundaries of the Corning Judicial District and being all that land in Tehama County lying south and southerly of a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point where the District line between District 24 N R 10 W and District 25 N R 10 W intersects the westerly boundary line of Tehama County; thence East on a continuation of said line to the N E corner of Section 5, District 24 N R 6 W; thence southerly one mile; thence easterly onehalf mile; thence northerly one mile; thence easterly on original line to NE corner of Section 5, District 24 N R 5 W; thence easterly to the SE corner of Section 36, District 26 N R 4 W; thence northerly to the south boundary of the Rosenthal Tract; thence easterly to the S.P. rightofway; thence SE easterly along said rightofway to a point where said rightofway intersects the corporate limits of the City of Tehama; thence following the corporation line of the City of Tehama in a southerly southwesterly, southeasterly and easterly direction to the Sacramento River; thence up and along said river to the confluence of the north fork of Mill Creek; thence up and along said north fork of Mill Creek to a point where said north fork diverges from Mill Creek; thence up Mill Creek to a point where it intersects the District line between District 26 N R 1 E and District 27 N R 1 E; thence easterly to the boundary line between Butte and Tehama Counties.

The area included in Red Bluff Judicial District shall be that portion of Tehama County bounded on the west, north and east by the county boundary of the county of Tehama and on the south by a line described as follows, to wit:

Being all the land within the boundaries of the Red Bluff Judicial District and being all that land in Tehama County lying north and northerly of a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point where the District line between District 24 N R 10 W and District 25 N R 10 W intersects the westerly boundary line of Tehama County; thence east on a continuation of said line to the NE corner of Section 5, District 24 N R 6 W; thence southerly one mile; thence easterly onehalf mile; thence northerly one mile; thence easterly on original line to NE corner of Section 5, District 24 N R 5 west; thence northerly to the NW corner of Section 4, District 25 N R 5 West; thence easterly to the SEcorner of Section 36, District 26 N R 4 W; thence northerly to the south boundary of the Rosenthal Tract; thence easterly to the S.P. rightofway; thence SE easterly along said rightofway to a point where said rightofway intersects the corporate limits of the City of Tehama; thence following the corporation line of the City of Tehama, in a southerly, southwesterly, southeasterly and easterly direction to the Sacramento River; thence up and along said river to the confluence of the north fork of Mill Creek; thence up and along said North Fork of Mill Creek to a point where said North Fork diverges from Mill Creek; thence up Mill Creek to a point where it intersects the District line between District 26 N R 1 E and District 27 N R 1 E; thence easterly to the boundary line between Butte and Tehama County, being the same line as that forming the northern boundary of Corning Judicial District.

2.04.040 - Justice Court of Corning District.

The Justice Court of Corning District shall become operative on the first day of January, 1952, and the incumbent justice thereof shall hold office until removed, defeated by election, or until his office is vacated as provided by law. He shall be authorized to employ one parttime clerk at a salary to be established by the county salary and classification ordinance codified in Title 3.

2.04.050 - Red Bluff Justice Court.

The Red Bluff Justice Court shall become operative on the first day of January, 1953. The Justice of the Peace of Red Bluff Judicial District shall be entitled to a clerk who shall receive a salary to be established by the county salary and classification ordinance codified in Title 3.

2.04.060 - Preclusion of other occupations.

The Justice of the Peace herein provided for shall not be precluded from engaging in other occupations or professions insofar as they can do so without interfering with the orderly and proper conduct of their office. Should the office of Justice ofthe Peace of either Red Bluff Judicial District or Corning Judicial District be held by any attorney of law, he shall not be permitted to practice law in any justice court within the county.

2.04.070 - Jurisdiction.

Jurisdiction of Red Bluff Justice Court and Corning Justice Court shall be as determined by the laws of the state; that the statutes of the state shall further be determinative of the orders, reports and procedure in the justice courts.

2.04.080 - Fees for trial jurors' attendance.

The fee for each day's attendance for trial jurors in the Superior and Justice Courts of the county in civil and criminal cases is five dollars in lawful money of the United States for each day's attendance.
