Tehama County Municipal Code Ch. 2.52 Criminal Justice Administrative Fees

There is hereby imposed a fee upon every city, special district, school district, community college district, college, or university, equal to the administrative costs, including applicable overhead costs of booking or other processing at any county jail facility of every person arrested by an employee of such city, special district, school district, community college district, college or university and brought to such county jail facility for booking or detention.

The actual amount of such fee shall be set at $45.50 per booking.

Such fee shall apply on and after July 1, 1990 to every booking or processing of a person at a county jail facility as provided for in Government Code 29550, except when such arrest is upon an arrest warrant arising from conduct not occurring in the jurisdiction of the presenting agency.

For fiscal year 1990-91 each jurisdiction will be billed in May and July of 1991. The May billing shall cover the period from July 1, 1990 through April 30, 1991 and shall be based upon the number of pretrial bookings attributable to the jurisdiction for that period. The July bill will reflect actual bookings for the months of May and June, 1991. Thereafter, billings will be distributed quarterly in October, January, April, and July for the previous three months and shall become delinquent if not paid within thirty days of the invoice date.
