1-5-1: REGULAR MEETINGS:

The council shall meet regularly the first and third Tuesday of every month beginning January 1, 2013, at the hour of six o'clock (6:00) P.M. at city hall, 209 E. Kern Street, Taft, California, except when such Tuesday is a legal holiday and except as the council may, from time to time by resolution, change the number and date of such regular meetings to be held during any specified period of time. 1-5-2: SPECIAL MEETINGS:

Special meetings may be called by the chairman of the council at any time or by written request from four (4) council members. Such special meetings shall be posted no less than twenty four (24) hours prior to the special meeting and council shall receive written notice of said meeting by the clerk. (Ord. 793-12, 10-16-2012)

1-5-3: ADOPTION OF RULES OF PROCEDURE:

Rules of procedure shall be adopted by resolution for the purpose of promoting uniformity, clarity, efficiency and orderly conduct of the city council meetings so that the council may adequately and properly perform its duty as legislators and representatives of the residents of the city and so that those desiring to address their legislators may do so in an orderly, efficient manner. Except as provided in the resolution adopting the rules of procedure, statutory law or constitutional requirements, "Rosenberg's Rules Of Order" shall govern the conduct of city council meetings.
