Sonoma Municipal Code Ch. 10.08 Definitions

The words and phrases in SMC 10.08.020 through 10.08.030, when used in this title, shall for the purpose of this title have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this chapter. (Ord. 99-9 § 1, 1999).

Whenever any words or phrases used herein are not defined, but are defined in the Vehicle Code of the state of California and amendments thereto, such definitions shall apply.

“Holidays” means all generally recognized federal and state holidays. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is a holiday. (Ord. 99-9 § 1, 1999).

“Central traffic district” means all streets and portions of streets within the area described as follows: All that area bounded by First Street East from Spain Street to Patten Street, Patten Street to all of Broadway to MacArthur Street, thence returning to Andrieux Street, Andrieux Street to First Street West, First Street West to West Napa Street, West Napa Street to its junction with Sonoma Highway and return to First Street West, First Street West to Spain Street, Spain Street to First Street East, and point of commencement.
