2.52.010 - Creation.

The property heretofore deeded to the city by the Rialto Cemetery Association and described as the East one-half of Farm Lot numbered 83, as per plat of the Town of Rialto and adjoining subdivisions recorded in Book 4 of Maps, at page 11, records of San Bernardino County, is hereafter used for cemetery purposes, exclusively, and known and designated as the Rialto Cemetery.

2.52.020 - Rates.

The city council, by resolution, adopts a schedule of prices to be charged for all burial lots and fees for burial services performed, which schedule is kept by the city clerk and is open to public inspection. All burial lots are sold for cash and revenues received for burial lots sold and services rendered shall be processed with all other revenues received by the city through the treasury department.

2.52.030 - Conveyances.

The city manager or his or her designee is authorized to execute conveyances for the conveyance of burial lots, on behalf of and in the name of the city, the form of such deed to be approved by the city attorney.

2.52.040 - Records.

There is maintained a book or register, in which is placed the name, age, sex, birthplace, date and place of death and date of burial of every body interred in the cemetery, and a register of the burial lots and the purchasers by name. All registers are to be open to public inspection.

2.52.050 - Department—Established.

A cemetery department is established to operate, manage, and maintain the city-owned cemetery. The city manager may consolidate the cemetery department into such other city department(s) as the city manager determines suitable and efficient in the management of the cemetery, subject to approval by the city council.

2.52.060 - Director—Position established.

There is established the position of cemetery director. He/she is appointed as prescribed by Section 2.04.100 and may be combined with any other officer or position within the city government.

2.52.070 - Director—Duties.

The cemetery director has general direction over the city-owned cemetery and is charged with the responsibility of seeing that all cemetery rules and regulations are followed.

2.52.080 - Council authority.

The city council, may, by resolution, establish rules and regulations and prices governing the operation of the cemetery.
