§ 13.52(a) SHOPPING CENTER DEFINED.

For the purpose of this division, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

SHOPPING CENTER. Any store or stores or business or businesses, or any combination thereof, with off-street parking facilities.

§ 13.52(b) UNLAWFUL ACTS.

(A) When signs are in place at all entrances of a shopping center giving notice of the provisions hereof, it shall be unlawful for a driver of any vehicle to park it or allow it to remain parked upon the parking lot within the city except while the driver or the occupants of the vehicle are patronizing a store or business of the shopping center.

(B) When signs are in place at all entrances of a shopping center giving notice of the provisions hereof, it shall be unlawful for any person to be or remain upon the parking lot within the city, except while crossing the lot in the course of entering or exiting a store or business at the shopping center or while exiting, entering or being in a vehicle whose driver or occupant is patronizing a store or business of the shopping center.

§ 13.52(c) EXCEPTIONS.

The provisions of § 13.52(b) shall not apply where its application would result in an interference with or inhibition of peaceful labor picketing or other lawful labor activities.

§ 13.52(d) PENALTY.

Violation of § 13.52(b) shall constitute an infraction.

§ 13.52(e) SIGNING.

Signs which are placed by property owners giving notice of the provisions of § 13.52(b) shall not exceed 25 inches in width and 12 inches in height. The sign shall contain the following information in substantially the following form with the printing to be of the height indicated:

NOTICE (2”)

PRIVATE PROPERTY (1.5”)

This parking lot is to be used by persons and their vehicles only while patronizing a store or business of this shopping center. C.O. No. . (1”)
