Chapter 12.22 — LOLLIPOP LAND

Lollipop Land is a playground recreational area designed for young children and more particularly described as follows:

 All that certain real property situate in the city of Orland, Glenn County, California, described as follows: A Portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 22 North, Range 3 West, M.D.B.&M., more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of Block 19 of the City of Orland; THENCE North 89° 56′ 10″ West, along the North line of said Block 19, a distance of 165.0 feet; THENCE North 0° 03′ 50″ East, a distance of 176.5 feet to the True Point of Beginning for this description; THENCE 89° 48′ 31″ West, a distance of 124.08 feet; THENCE North 0° 28′ 42″ East, a distance of 198.33 feet; THENCE North 89° 44′ 41″ East, a distance of 237.57 feet; THENCE North 45° 59′ 06″ East, a distance of 70.61 feet; THENCE South 2° 03′ 17″ West, a distance of 177.43 feet; THENCE North 88° 49′ 31″ West, a distance of 158.85 feet; THENCE South 0° 34′ 49″ West, a distance of 73.97 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

Except as engaged in a city-approved event, motorized bicycles and motor vehicles are prohibited and no person may possess, use or cause to possess or use any vehicle described herein inside the Lollipop Land playground area described in Section 12.22.010.

The riding of bicycles and skateboards is prohibited inside the Lollipop Land playground area described in Section 12.22.010. Bicycles shall be walked and skateboards carried within Lollipop Land.

A.

All animals of whatever nature are prohibited and no person may possess, use or cause to possess or use an animal inside the Lollipop Land playground area described in Section 12.22.010.

B.

For good cause on special occasion the Orland city parks superintendent may waive the provisions of this section. Request for such waiver must be made prior to entering the Lollipop Land playground area.

Except with the prior permission of the park superintendent, persons ten (10) years of age and older may not enter Lollipop Land playground area except when accompanying a child of less than ten (10) years of age.

Lollipop Land shall be open to the public except during the hours eleven p.m. to six a.m. daily.

The Orland city chief of police and/or the Orland city park superintendent may close Lollipop Land any time such action is necessary for the protection of public safety or public property. During such closure no person may enter, use or occupy any portion of Lollipop Land.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter may be removed from Lollipop Land upon order of the Orland city park superintendent, any Orland city police officer, and/or any authorized employee, or officer of the city. When ordered to leave, such person may not re-enter Lollipop Land for a period of at least twenty-four (24) hours.

The possession and/or consumption of alcohol in Lollipop Land Park is prohibited.

In addition to the penalties set forth in Section 12.22.080, any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable as set forth in Section 1.12.010 of this code by a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
