Article 12 — Annexations
Ojai Zoning Code · 2026-06 edition · updated 2026-07-25 · Ojai
§ 10-6.1201. Allotments for annexed property. ¶
The population figures and allotment limits are based in part on the DOF population estimates, revised each January but not received by the City until later in the spring.
In the future, annexations to the City will temporarily increase the City's potential for population above the limits imposed by this chapter.
Therefore, in the event of an annexation, the City Council, at the time of approval of an annexation, shall assess and determine the allotment potential of the annexed property. The City Council, at the time of approval of an annexation, shall establish procedures for the granting of allotments to owners of the annexed property independent of and in addition to the guidelines, procedures and restrictions set forth in this chapter. (§ 1, Ord. 769, eff. January 8, 2004)
