16-16 Repealed By Ord No 233-AC

16-17 Common Receptacles For Places Of Business Prohibited

Each place of business accumulating or producing combustible rubbish shall provide its own receptacle for keeping, depositing or accumulating the same.

No receptacle common to two or more places of business shall be set out for collection by the city.

No person shall cause to be deposited or deposit any combustible rubbish in such a receptacle of a place of business with which he is not directly connected. (Ord. 308 N.S.)

16-18 Burying Of Rubbish

No person shall deposit or bury any rubbish in the city unless it is leveled and properly covered, and written permission to do so has first been obtained from the city manager. (Ord. 308 N.S.)

16-19 Enforcement Of Article

1. The city manager, or his duly authorized representative, shall supervise the collection and removal of all rubbish by the city.
2. The city manager shall establish routes, days and hours for collection and may change the same from time to time. When such routes, days and hours are established or changed, the city manager shall give such notice thereof as he may deem advisable.
3. In all cases where he shall find that practical difficulty exists in complying with the requirements of this article as to the placing of rubbish for collection by the city, he shall designate where such rubbish shall be placed or kept for collection by the city and the condition under which it shall be collected.
4. He shall make such rules not inconsistent with the provisions of this article as may be necessary, reasonable and proper to effect the expedient, economical and efficient collection and removal of rubbish by the city. (Ord. 308 N.S.)
