14.20.010 Area limitations.

Projecting signs shall not exceed one hundred square feet each side. (Ord. 89-3 (part), 1989)

14.20.020 Projection over public property.

A projecting sign shall be placed at least ten feet above any public sidewalk over which it projects, and shall not extend nearer than two feet to the curb line of any street. If a projecting sign is erected or maintained so that it projects over an alley or a private or public driveway, no part of the projecting portion of the sign shall be less than fifteen feet above the surface of such alley or driveway. 14.20.030 Extension from pole, wall or buildings.

No projecting sign shall be erected with the nearest portion of the sign face extending a greater distance from the pole or wall or building to which it is attached than eighteen inches. (Ord. 89-3 (part), 1989)

14.20.040 Wind pressure requirements.

All projecting signs shall be constructed to withstand a minimum wind pressure of twenty pounds per square foot. Any projecting sign more than thirty-five feet in total height shall be constructed to withstand a wind pressure of thirty pounds per square foot. (Ord. 89-3 (part), 1989)

14.20.050 Limitations on maximum height.

No projecting sign shall be constructed or erected so that any portion thereof is higher than the maximum building height permitted, without a use permit, in the zone which it is located as provided in Chapter 17.16 of this code. (Ord. 89-10 (part), 1989; Ord. 89-3 (part), 1989)
