9.70.010 - Designation of drug free zones.

All public parks and libraries as set forth in Section 9.70.030 are designated as drug free zones pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 11380.5. This chapter applies and is enforceable only if notice of this chapter of the Merced Municipal Code is posted at the designated location.

9.70.020 - Definitions.

A. The terms "park" and "public parks" mean any public parks, youth centers, swimming pools, and bike paths, within the City of Merced which are owned, operated or maintained by the city by its own forces or by contract, including, but not limited to, publicly-owned recreation and playground areas, any buildings or recreation facilities thereon, and any parking lot areas adjacent thereto.

B. The term "public library" means and includes any and all public libraries within the City of Merced city limits.

H. Burbank Park: Olive Avenue;

I. Circle Drive Park: East 23rd Street;

J. City Hall Strip Park: West 18th and N Streets;

K. Chenoweth;

L. Courthouse Square (County park): 21st and N Streets;

M. Fahrens Creek Bike Path;

N. Fahrens Park: Buena Vista Drive at Fahrens Creek;

O. Flanagan Park: East Cone Avenue;

P. Joe Herb Park: Yosemite Parkway;

Q. Gilbert Macias Park: Childs Avenue and G Street;

R. M Street Bike Path;

S. Macready Park: Grogan Avenue;

T. Main Street Square: Main and Canal Streets;

U. McNamara Park: 11th and K Streets;

V. Rahilly Park: North Parsons Avenue;

W. Santa Fe Linear Park: Buena Vista Drive and M Street;

X. Santa Fe Strip Bike Path;

Y. Seventh Street and West Avenue;

Z. Stephen Leonard Park: 7th and T Streets;

AA. Yosemite-Donna Bike Path;

BB. Youth Sports Complex: West Avenue and Wardrobe Avenue.
