Chapter 9-78 — CONGESTION MANAGEMENT

§ 9-78.010. Purpose and intent.

The purpose and intent of this chapter is to provide the public information related to congestion management. (Prior code § 9-37.010; Ord. 98-8 § 2 (part))

§ 9-78.020. Congestion management plan adopted (CMP).

The city participates as an active partner under the Orange County congestion management plan (CMP). The county of Orange CMP purposes are to reduce traffic congestion and provide a means of coordinating land use decisions in the county. City roads and intersections are included in the CMP. § 9-78.030. Standards applicable.

Standards prescribed by the CMP for roadways, mitigations, and specified land uses apply to projects abutting designated roadways or corridors within the city.

The city Engineering Department provides information on design standards and mitigation measures for CMP purposes to assist applicants.

§ 9-78.040. Development reviews.

All development applications will be reviewed for impacts to the city and county roadways included in the county of Orange CMP. The Engineering Department will conduct the review for impacts to the CMP. (Prior code § 9-37.040; Ord. 98-8 § 2 (part))

§ 9-78.050. Consistency.

All development applications must be consistent with the circulation element of the general plan and the CMP. (Prior code § 9-37.040; Ord. 98-8 § 2 (part))
