Kern County Municipal Code Art. II System Description

As each areawide system is developed for adoption as part of this chapter, appropriate base lines, boundaries and general application rules and/or text shall be made part of an official areawide system map prepared by the county planning department. Such map, when adopted as provided by this chapter, shall become a system delineated on the county-wide Official House Numbering Base Map or maps.

Boundaries of various areawide systems may be expanded or contracted as recommended by the county planning commission and approved by the board of supervisors. Boundary adjustments to appropriate areawide system maps and the county-wide Official House Numbering Base Map shall be made as part of this chapter upon approval of such boundary adjustment by the board of supervisors.

The East Kern Unified House Numbering System, as approved by the board of supervisors on February 5, 1957, shall become an areawide system, and said areawide system shall be delineated on the county-wide Official House Numbering Base Map upon adoption of the ordinance from which this chapter derives.
