12.28.010 - Sidewalk obstruction unlawful—Exceptions.

A. It is unlawful for any person, association or firm to obstruct any part of the sidewalks of any town in the county by means of any personal property for a longer period than one (1) hour each day except as set out in subsection (B) of this section.

B. For the purposes of trade and convenience any such sidewalk may be utilized not to exceed three (3) feet from the inner part of such sidewalks next to the building lots adjoining the sidewalks.

12.28.020 - Sidewalk obstruction—Violation—Penalty.

A violation of the provisions of Section 12.28.010 of this chapter is an infraction.

12.28.030 - Running water across sidewalk prohibited—Exceptions.

A. Any person owning or having in his possession any water pipe, drain or hose who permits the water therefrom to run across any sidewalk, public street or alleyway in the unincorporated area of the county so as to injure same or obstruct or interfere with the free travel thereon, or who permits such water to run into or upon the surface of the street, is guilty of an infraction; excepting, however, that it is not unlawful to use a reasonable amount of water to clean any sidewalk or portion thereof within the county.

B. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (A) of this section, at locations within a planned drainage area, where drainage improvements including disposal facilities have been constructed and are operating and where the land use is consistent with the land use which was used in the drainage design, the roads director may issue an encroachment permit allowing roof and parking area drainage be discharged into the street through a conduit through concrete curb and gutter, subject to reasonable conditions.

12.28.040 - Fishing or loitering on bridges—Prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to fish from any bridge or parapeted culvert, or loiter upon, or at the approach thereto, or to obstruct or hinder or delay vehicular traffic upon any bridge or parapeted culvert, over any stream, creek, irrigation canal or slough in the county.

12.28.050 - Fishing or loitering on bridges—Posting of signs.

The prohibition contained in Section 12.28.040 of this chapter is, and shall be, effective when appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected upon the designated bridge or parapeted culvert by the road commissioner of the county who is given authority to erect such signs.

12.28.060 - Fishing or loitering on bridges—Violation—Penalty.

Any person or persons violating the provisions of Sections 12.28.040 and 12.28.050 of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction.
