10.24.010 - General regulations—Exceptions.¶
A. No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle whether attended or unattended on any county road or roadway unless such vehicle shall be stopped, parked or left standing parallel to and not more than eighteen (18) inches from the right-hand curb, or if there be no curb, parallel to and not more than eighteen (18) inches from the extreme right-hand boundary of such road or roadway.
B. Subsection A of this section shall not apply to a commercial vehicle when loading or unloading passengers or merchandise or when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or compliance with the direction of law enforcement officers or an official traffic control device.
C. No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle shall park or leave such a vehicle standing on a county road, public street or highway for seventy-two (72) or more consecutive hours. In the event that a vehicle is parked or left standing upon a public street or highway for seventy-two (72) or more consecutive hours, it may be removed by any member of the California Highway Patrol or by any salaried deputy of the sheriff's office of the county of Imperial to the nearest available garage, in which event all of the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the state of California with respect to such removal shall be applicable.
D. The board of supervisors may, be resolution, from time to time permit angle parking and may designate no parking and tow-away zones.

10.24.020 - Specified restricted areas.¶
(1) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to park, or cause to be parked, any automobile, truck or other vehicle, at any time, on or along the following described routes:
A. Either side of Aten Road (County Road No. 24) Tracts 84 and 69, Township 15 South, Range 14 East, S.B.B. & M., from State Highway sign Route No. 111 to the west line of said Tracts 84 and 69 one-half mile, more or less, within the limits of the county road right-of-way.
B. From the main gate of the United States Naval Air Facility in Imperial County, State of California, along the road designated as Bennett Road (West P) south for a distance of two thousand five hundred (2,500) feet.
C. From the intersection of the road designated as Haven Road (Road 22) with said Bennett Road (West P), west along said Havens Road (Road 22) for a distance of two thousand five hundred (2,500) feet.
D. Between the hours of two a.m. and four a.m. from the southerly terminus of Capri Avenue for a distance of two thousand sixty-five (2,065) feet, such area being within Tract No. 662, as per map thereof recorded in Book 6 of Final Maps, Page 29, in the office of the County Recorder of Imperial County.
E. That portion of Senator Wash Access Road that traverses the dikes separating Senator Wash Reservoir and Squaw Lake.
F. That portion of County Road seventy-five (75) feet from Garst Road west for three thousand (3,000) feet on both the north and south sides.
G. On the south side of West Fourth Street in the unincorporated area of Niland from State Highway 111 westerly, one thousand five hundred eight (1,508) feet.
H. That portion of the east side of Austin Road (County Road West G) from McCabe Road (County Road No. 14) south six hundred sixty (660) feet, during school hours (i.e., eight a.m. to four p.m.).
I. On both the north and south sides of El Centro Street (SE 5) in the unincorporated community of Seeley from eight hundred eighty-five (885) feet east of Holt Avenue (SE 4) east five hundred thirty (530) feet, also known as that segment of El Centro Street (SE 5) which is adjacent to and north of Parcel No. 1, Record of Survey 12-87 and Parcels No. 1 and 2, Parcel Map No. M-853, within the limits of the county road right-of-way.
J. On both the east and west sides of Old Highway 111 from Aten Road (County Road No. 24) north one-half mile.

10.24.030 - Vehicle parking—Restricted.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to park, or cause to be parked or left standing, any unattended commercial vehicle or a gross weight exceeding six thousand (6,000) pounds, at any time on the following described locations:
A. North and south sides of "F" Street (WH6) from Third Avenue (WH1) to "D" Street (WH3);
B. East and west sides of Second Avenue (WH2) from First Avenue (BU) to Third Avenue (WH1);
C. East and west sides of Third Avenue (WH1) from Winterhaven Drive (A2P08) south to "D" Street (WH7);
D. North and south sides of "D" Street (WH7) from First Avenue (BU) to Third Avenue (WH1);
E. West side Imperial Highway (2A04) between Opal Road (2A11) and Mesquite Road (2A19);
F. North and south sides of Zinetta Road (GW01) from Clara Nofal Road (GW03) to Rood Road (ER);
G. East and west sides of Clara Nofal Road (GW03) from Stergios Road (GW02) to Zinetta Road (GW01);
H. East and west sides of Rood Road (ER) from four hundred ninety-three (493) feet south of Carr Road (4) northerly to four hundred seventy-five (475) feet north of Maggio Road (GW05);
I. North and south sides of Carr Road (4) from Nina Lee Road (GW04) to Rood Road (ER);
J. East and west sides of Menvielle Road (GW06) to from SR 98 to SR7;
K. North and south sides of Stergios Road (GW02) from Clara Nofal Road (GW03) to Rood Road (ER);
L. East and west sides of Nina Lee Road (GW04) from State Route 7 southerly to four hundred ninety-three (493) feet south of Carr Road (4);
M. East and west sides of Menvielle Road (GW06) from State Route 7 to Menvielle Court (GW07);
N. North and south sides of Menville Court (GW07);
O. North and south sides of Maggio Road (GW05) from State Route 7 to Rood Road (ER);
P. East and west sides of Singh Road (Road ED) from Ross Road (Road 18) southerly 0.2 miles;
Q. North and south sides of Ross Road (Road 18) from Singh Road (Road ED) westerly 0.2 miles;
R. The townsite of Heber and more specifically described by the boundaries of Pitzer Road on the east side; Fawcett Road on the south side; Dogwood Road on the west side for the areas south of SR 86; and the date drain north of SR 86 to Correll Road, including all roads in the D.R. Horton and McCabe Ranch subdivisions;
S. East and west sides of Higgins Lane (County Road WG75) from Evan Hewes Highway (County Road A2A23) south 0.24 miles to end;
T. All roads in the Gateway of the American Specific Plan Area more specifically described by the boundaries of the Ash Canal on the west side, SR 98 on the north side, the Alamo River on the east side, and on the All American Canal on the south side;
U. East and west sides of New Yourman Road (County Road Number Ed) and the north and south sides of Heber Road (County Road Number 11C) from SR-111 to New Yourman Road (Road Number ED);
V. North and south sides of Anza Road (County Road Number 2A[1]) from Bowker Road (County Road Number EH) to the Calexico City Limits;
W. East and west sides of Orchard Road (County Road West R) from Havens Road (County Road 20) to Edwards Road (County Road 19).

10.24.035 - Parking restricted on SR-7 and SR-98.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, business or corporation to park, cause to be parked, or leave any unattended vehicle on the following described locations:
A. Any portion, either direction along SR-7;
B. Along SR-98, either direction, from five hundred (500) feet west of Menvielle Road (GW06) to five hundred (500) feet east of SR-7.

10.24.040 - Vehicle removal.¶
Any vehicle which is parked or left standing upon or along the routes described in Sections 10.24.020 and 10.24.030 may be removed therefrom by a member of the California Highway Patrol or by any salaried deputy of the sheriff's office of the County of Imperial to the nearest available garage, in which event all the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California with respect to such removal shall be applicable.

10.24.050 - No parking and tow-away signs.¶
In order to make the foregoing provisions more effective, the road commissioner is authorized to procure and have erected along any of the roads, at locations approved by the sheriff of Imperial County, signs reading "NO PARKING" or "NO TRUCK PARKING" and/or "TOW-AWAY ZONE."

10.24.060 - Violations—Penalties.¶
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) for a first violation, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a second violation within one year, and not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for each additional violation within one year.
