One-Way Streets. 434-1. Prohibition of Stopping, Parking, and Fishing on Certain County Bridges. (a) Description. It is unlawful for any person to stop or park a motor vehicle on or to fish from the following bridges: (1) Mad River Bridge (Bridge No. 4C-60) on Hatchery Road (County Road No. 5L015) at Post Mile 0.00 (P.K. 0.00). (Ord. 1115, § 1, 1/11/1977) (b) Penalty. This section is adopted pursuant to Vehicle Code § 21109. In accordance with Vehicle Code § 42001(a), every person convicted of an infraction for violation of this section shall be punished upon a first conviction by a fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and for a second conviction within a period of one (1) year, by a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) and for a third or any subsequent conviction, within a period of one (1) year, by a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). (Ord. 1115, § 2, 1/11/1977; Ord. 2351, § 15, 12/6/2005) 434-2. Restriction of Vehicles on Humboldt Hill Multipurpose Path. (a) Prohibition. The stopping, parking or moving of unauthorized vehicles on the Multipurpose Path adjoining Humboldt Hill Road (County Road No. C3J010) Post Mile 0.00 to Post Mile 1.58 (P.K. 0.00 to P.K. 2.54) is prohibited at all times. (b) Penalty. In accordance with Vehicle Code § 42001(a), every person convicted of an infraction for violation of this section shall be punished upon a first conviction by a fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and for a second conviction within a period of one (1) year, by a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) and for a third or any subsequent conviction, within a period of one (1) year, by a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). (Ord. 1070, § 2, 2/10/1976; Ord. 2351, § 15, 12/6/2005) 434-4. Repealed by Ord. 2701, § 9, 12/6/2022. 434-5. Parking in Excess of Ten Days - Prohibited. No person shall park or leave standing, or cause to be left parked or left standing, any vehicle, upon any street, highway, public road, or thoroughfare, in the unincorporated area of the County of Humboldt for a period of ten (10) or more consecutive days. (Ord. 2280, 10/15/2002) 434-6. Removal of Unlawfully Parked Vehicles. Any vehicle parked or left standing in violation of Section 434-5 of this Code shall be subject to removal as provided for in Section 22651 of the California Vehicle Code. Any member of the California Highway Patrol or any regularly employed and salaried deputy of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, or any investigator regularly employed and paid as such in the office of a district attorney, or any Humboldt County Code Enforcement Officer, may remove such vehicle from the street or highway, and may store such vehicle with the nearest keeper of a garage or other place of safety, or as otherwise authorized by law. In the event of removal and storage, the agency or person directing this storage shall give notice as provided in Sections 22852 and 22853 of the California Vehicle Code. (Ord. 2280, 10/15/2002; Ord. 2348, § 1, 9/13/2005; Ord. 2585, § 9, 11/7/2017) 434-7. Prohibition of Recreation Vehicles on Certain County Roads. (a) Except by permit issued by the Department of Public Works, recreational vehicles are prohibited at all times on the following roads: (1) Ocean View Drive (County Road No. 3P020). (2) Roundhouse Creek Road (County Road No. 3P010). (b) “Recreation vehicle” means a motor home, travel trailer, truck camper, or other vehicle or trailer, with or without power, designed or altered for human habitation for recreational, emergency, or other occupancy. “Recreational vehicle” specifically includes but is not limited to a “recreational vehicle” as defined by California Health and Safety Code Section 18010. 434-10. One-Way Streets. Pursuant to the authority contained in §§ 21101 and 21657 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, the following streets are designated one-way streets and traffic thereon shall at all times proceed in the one direction designated herein. (a) Hubbard Lane (County Road No. 3K375). (b) Airport Loop Road (County Road No. 4M195) from Post Mile 0.011 to Post Mile 0.370 (P.K. 0.018 to P.K. 0.595). (c) Main Street (County Road No. C3H180) from its intersection with Loleta Drive (County Road No. A3H200) to Church Street (County Road No. 3H190), southerly.
