17.46.010 Generally.

Certain uses are considered to be temporary in nature and of a type which would not appreciably affect those rights stipulated and protected under the terms of the land use provisions of this title. Temporary use, as used herein, shall conform to those uses specified in Sections 17.46.020 and 17.06.030. (Ord. 408 § 1 (part), 1994)

17.46.020 Uses specified requiring prior approval.

The following uses shall be considered to be temporary uses requiring prior approval of the application and plans by the community development director shall be subject to a time limit and other conditions as established by the community development director:

  • A. Parking lot sales;

  • B. Outdoor exhibits or open displays not subject to Section 17.46.030(A), below;

  • C. Christmas tree lots;

  • D. Circus or carnivals;

E. Other uses which are determined to be temporary by the community development director and similar in nature to the above-listed uses. (Ord. 408 § 1 (part), 1994)

17.46.030 Uses specified not requiring prior approval.

The following uses shall be considered to be temporary uses not requiring prior approval of the community development director unless such uses are specifically prohibited in the use permit for the development:

  • A. Outdoor display of goods subject to the following restrictions:
  1. Display area is no larger then eight feet by eight feet and eight feet in height, unless otherwise approved by the community development director based on special conditions of the site;

  2. Display area shall not interfere with pedestrian circulation and maintains clear width for pedestrians of forty-eight inches;

  3. Display materials and table(s) shall be in good repair;

  4. Display area shall not interfere with parking areas;

  5. The display shall not include associated signage other than typical individual price tags.

  • B. Garage sales.

C. Other uses which are determined to be temporary by the community development director and similar in nature to the above-listed uses. (Ord. 408 § 1 (part), 1994)
