Sec. 16-171. - Required.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person to commence, carry on or conduct the business of maintaining and servicing lawful mechanical merchandise vendors or lawful slot machines without having procured a license from the city to do so.

Sec. 16-172. - Duty of license collector.¶
It shall be the duty of the license collector to prepare and issue licenses required by section 16-171 and to collect license fees provided for by chapter 16 of this Code.

Sec. 16-173. - Contents.¶
Every license required as provided by section 16-171 shall state the amount of the license fee, the period of time covered by such license and the name of the person to whom issued and the type of device covered by such license.

Sec. 16-174. - Fee as debt to city.¶
Any license fee, the payment of which is required by this article, shall be deemed a debt to the city.

Sec. 16-175. - Posting of certificates showing issuance.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person to place in operation any mechanical device required to be licensed as provided in section 16-171 unless there is displayed or posted on such mechanical device vendor a certificate of the license collector showing issuance of the requisite license.
