Sec. 11-46. - Display.

Every owner or operator of a food establishment or food producing or distributing establishment shall maintain and display in such establishment the food handler's certificate of registration issued, as required by section 11-71, to food handlers who are employed therein. Such certificate of registration shall at all times remain the property of the food handler. This display shall be subject to inspection by the health officer or his duly authorized representative, at all times when the establishment in question is open to the public.

Sec. 11-47. - Notice of employment of uncertified food handler.

It shall be the duty of the operator of a food establishment to inform the health officer by mail or by other means of communication within twenty-four (24) hours after employment of a food handler who has not obtained a certificate of registration as required by section 11-71.

Sec. 11-48. - Continued employment of uncertified food handler.

It shall be unlawful for any owner or operator of a food establishment knowingly to continue the employment of any food handler for a period in excess of forty-eight (48) hours without obtaining from such employee a certificate of registration as required by section 11-71.
