East Palo Alto Municipal Code Art. VII Restriction or Closure of Roads, Streets and Highways

The director of public works may temporarily close streets, roads, avenues, ways, places or other thoroughfares and highways and portions thereof for parades, celebrations and other purposes, for the protection of the public. In emergency situations the director of public works may immediately restrict the use of, or close, any city street or road whenever he/she considers such closing or restriction of use necessary:

A. For the protection of the public;

B. For the protection of such city street or road from damage during storms;

C. During construction, improvement or maintenance operations thereon.
