17-21 TELEVENTS.

17-21.1 Grant of Franchise. ¶
The Town of Danville grants to Televents a non-exclusive franchise to operate a cable television system under the Danville Cable Television Franchise Regulations, Municipal Code Chapter XVII, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the documents comprising the award agreement, listed in subsection 17-21.4. (Ord. #97, §1)
17-21.2 Duration of Franchise. ¶
The franchise granted by this section shall expire on December 31, 2002. (Ord. #97, §2; Ord. #2002-01, §2; Ord. #200205, §2)
17-21.3 Area Covered by Franchise. ¶
The area for which the franchise is granted is the area comprising the Town of Danville. (Ord. #97, §3)
17-21.4 Documents Comprising the Award Agreement. ¶
The documents comprising the award agreement consist of:
a. The Danville Cable Television Franchise Regulations (Sections 17-1 through 17-12 of this chapter);
b. The application of Televents entitled “Televents, Town of Danville Cable Television Proposal” (Exhibit “A”);[1]
c. This section;
d. The Cable Television Franchise Agreement (Exhibit “B”); 2 and
e. The franchisee’s written acceptance (subsection 17-11.6) and the performance bond (subsection 17-10) insurance (subsections 17-11.4, 17-11.6) and security fund (subsection 17-10.5) if required. (Ord. #97, §4)

17-21.5 Signature. ¶
The Mayor is authorized to execute the Cable Television Franchise Agreement attached to this section as Exhibit “B”.[2] (Ord. #97, §5)

17-21.6 Effective Date of Franchise. ¶
The franchise becomes effective when the franchisee files written acceptance with the Town in the time and manner prescribed in subsection 17-11.6 of this chapter. (Ord. #97, §6)
