10.28.010 - Parking prohibited.

The parking or standing of vehicles on the right-of-way of any county road during snow removal operations conducted by or on behalf of the county is prohibited. "Snow removal operations" shall be deemed to be ongoing whenever snow is present on the right-of-way of a county road.

10.28.020 - Towing and storage—Authorized.

Any member of the California Highway Patrol and any regularly employed and salaried deputy of the sheriff's office of the county or the sheriff of the county shall remove any vehicle parked or left standing upon the right-of-way of any road during snow removal operation conducted by or in behalf of the county. Vehicles towed away pursuant to this chapter shall be removed to the nearest facility for the storage and safekeeping of vehicles.

10.28.030 - Towing and storage—Charges.

The charges for towing and storage for vehicles removed pursuant to this chapter shall be such reasonable charges as may be approved by the board of supervisors of Calaveras County from time to time by resolution or motion.

10.28.040 - Penalty for violation.

Any person violating the parking prohibitions of this chapter is guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction, shall be punishable by a fine of no more than fifty dollars for the first offense occurring in any one year, by a fine of no more than one hundred dollars for the second offense occurring in any one year, and by a fine of no more than two hundred fifty dollars for a third or subsequent offense occurring in any one year.
