4809.1 Existing equipment. All mechanical equipment used¶
as part of the building ventilation system shall be maintained in good working order and shall comply with the provisions of the California Mechanical Code.
4809.2 Auxiliary equipment. All auxiliary heating, ventila-¶
tion and air-conditioning equipment shall be approved and listed for the intended use. Flexible duct, if utilized, shall be noncombustible. Such auxiliary equipment shall not obstruct exits, means of egress or fire department access.
