710.1 General.

710.1 General. Smoke partitions installed as required elsewhere in the code shall comply with this section.

In Group I-2, smoke partitions shall have framing covered with noncombustible materials having an approved thermal barrier with an index of not less than 15 in accor- dance with FM 4880, UL 1040, NFPA 286 or UL 1715.
