Sec. 74-201. - Sign required.

Whenever section 74-202 designates any one-way street or alley, the city engineer shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof, and no such designation shall be effective unless such signs are in place. Signs indicating the direction of lawful traffic movement shall be placed at every intersection where movement of traffic in the opposite direction is prohibited.

Sec. 74-202. - Designated.

(a) In accordance with section 74-201 and when properly signposted, traffic shall move only in the direction indicated upon the following streets:

Azusa Avenue, between First Street and Sierra Madre Avenue, northerly, subject to subsection (b) of this section.

Azusa Avenue, between San Gabriel Canyon Road and Sierra Madre Avenue, northerly.

Azusa Avenue and San Gabriel Avenue, on the alley between such avenues immediately north of First Street, southerly.

San Gabriel Avenue, from its junction with San Gabriel Canyon Road to First Street, southerly, subject to subsection (b) of this section.

San Gabriel Canyon Road, from its junction with Azusa Avenue to its junction with San Gabriel Avenue, northerly, subject to subsection (b) of this section.

Vernon Place, northerly.

(b) Those areas as indicated in subsection (a) of this section shall become operative only upon the inclusion of San Gabriel Avenue from its junction with San Gabriel Canyon Road to or substantially to First Street as a part of the state highway system as provided by state Streets and Highways Code § 111.5 and upon the portion of San Gabriel Avenue being opened to one-way traffic and erected by the state department of public works.
