10.48.010 - Advertising vehicles.¶
No person shall operate or drive any vehicle used for advertising purposes or any advertising vehicle equipped with a sound-amplifying or loud-speaking device upon any street or ally at any time within the business district.

10.48.020 - Horse-drawn vehicles.¶
No person shall drive any animal-drawn vehicle into or within the business district between the hours of four-thirty p.m. and six p.m. of any day.

10.48.030 - Sign creation for truck routes.¶
(a) Whenever any designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street the use of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the chief of police is authorized to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as "Truck Traffic Routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons
(b) When any such truck traffic route or routes are established and designated by appropriate sign, the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons shall drive on such route or routes and none other, except that nothing in this section shall prohibit the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons coming from a truck traffic route having ingress and egress by direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure, upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor.
(c) The provisions of this section shall not apply to: (A) passenger buses under the jurisdiction of he Public Utilities Commission; or (B) any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.
(d) Those streets and parts of streets described in Section 10.48.040 are truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons.

10.48.040 - Designation of truck routes.¶
In accordance with Section 10.48.010 and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, the following streets or portions of streets are truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons:
Those streets and parts of streets heretofore or hereafter designated by resolution of the city council, whether under this title or any ordinance repealed by other ordinance codified herein.

10.48.050 - Sign erection for commercial vehicles.¶
(a) Whenever any ordinance of the city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle, the chief of police shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected by such ordinance.
(b) Those streets and parts of streets described in Section 10.48.060 are streets the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission.

10.48.060 - Commercial vehicles prohibited.¶
In accordance with Section 10.48.050, the following streets and parts of streets are streets, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle:
Those streets and parts of streets heretofore or hereafter designated by resolution of the city council, whether under this title or any ordinance repealed by the ordinance codified herein.

10.48.070 - Weight limited routes—Designation.¶
(a) Whenever any ordinance of the city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle or device exceeding a maximum gross weight of ten tons, the chief of police is authorized to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as "Weight Limited Routes" and no vehicle or device exceeding a maximum gross weight of ten tons shall be moved thereon or thereover without permit in writing previously issued by the chief of police upon such terms and conditions as shall provide adequate security for the repair of any damage caused to the street by the movement thereover of such vehicle or device.
(b) When any such weight limited route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle or device exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of ten tons shall not drive or move such vehicle or device on such route or routes, without written permit.
(c) The provisions of this section shall not apply to (A) passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission, or (B) any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation, or repair of any public utility.
(d) Those streets and parts of streets described in Section 10.48.080 are weight limited routes for the movement of vehicles or devices exceeding the maximum gross weight of ten tons.

10.48.080 - Vehicles of over ten tons weight prohibited.¶
In accordance with Section 10.48.070, the following streets and parts of streets are streets, the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle or device exceeding a maximum gross weight of ten tons:
Those streets and parts of streets heretofore or hereafter designated by resolution of the city council, whether under this title or any ordinance repealed by the ordinance codified herein.
