320-010 - ADOPTION OF WORK FURLOUGH PLAN

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Sutter, State of California, on the basis of employment conditions, the state of the County jail facilities, and other pertinent circumstances, finds that the operation of Section 1208 of the California Penal Code, more commonly known as the "Colby" Work Furlough Law, providing for the operation of a Work Furlough Plan for County jail prisoners, is feasible.

320-020 - SHERIFF DESIGNATED AS WORK FURLOUGH ADMINISTRATOR

The Sheriff of the County of Sutter is designated as the officer who shall perform the functions of the Work Furlough Administrator. The Sheriff, as Work Furlough Administrator, is hereby authorized to enter into intercounty work furlough agreements pursuant to Section 1208.5 of the Penal Code of the State of California.

320-030 - SEVERABILITY

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
