§ 2.48.010. State aid.

The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code.

§ 2.48.020. Adherence to state standards.

Pursuant to Section 13522 of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the Penal Code, the city while receiving aid from the state pursuant to said Chapter 1 will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

§ 2.48.030. Appointment of sheriff as chief of police.

The sheriff of the county or duly appointed designee shall serve as the chief of police of the city.
