§ 2.16.010. Office created.¶
There is created the office of the city treasurer. The city council shall appoint the city treasurer.

§ 2.16.020. Bond.¶
Before entering upon his duties, the city treasurer shall file with the city clerk a bond as specified in Section 2.24.010.

§ 2.16.030. Duties.¶
In addition to such other duties as may be required by law, the city treasurer shall:
A. Keep the city council informed regarding the financial operations of the city pertaining to accounting, auditing, preparation and payment of payrolls, billing, the drawing of warrants and other financial matters;
B. Monitor the financial operations of the city to assure that the requirements of Government Code Sections 41000 through 41007 are being properly administered by the deputy city treasurer.
