§ 2.28.010. Established.

A city planning commission in and for the city is established with membership, powers and duties as provided by the Government Code of the state.

§ 2.28.020. Membership.

The planning commission shall consist of five members. Each councilmember shall appoint one planning commissioner who shall be at least eighteen years of age and a resident of the city. Said appointment shall not be effective until approved by majority vote of the city council.

§ 2.28.030. Term.

The terms of office for each of the five commissioners appointed by a councilmember shall coincide with the term of office of the councilmember who made the appointment; provided, however, each commissioner shall continue to serve until his or her successor is appointed; and provided further, that any commissioner may be removed at any time by majority vote of the entire council.
