6.04.010 - Purpose.¶
The regulations set out in this title are designed to establish the framework for an effective and humane animal control program; to focus on and protect the health, safety and welfare of both human and animal populations in our city; and to provide a good quality of life for residents and their pets.

6.04.020 - Mission statement.¶
The mission of the animal control unit is to maintain the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Shafter, and their pets, allowing them the highest quality of life possible.
