2.16.010 - Created.¶
There is hereby created a city planning commission which shall consist of five members. Each member shall be appointed by the council of the city.

2.16.020 - Members.¶
A. Planning commission members shall be appointed as provided in Section 2.21.010 of this title and shall serve in office until their successors are appointed by the council.
B. The term of office for each planning commissioner shall commence on the date of appointment by the city council. Each member of the planning commission shall serve at the pleasure of the council and any member of the planning commission may be removed therefrom by the city council. All members of the planning commission shall be subject to the limitations set out in Section 2.21.030 B of this title.

2.16.030 - Dismissal of member.¶
Any member of the city planning commission who misses two consecutive planning commission meetings without prior approval of the secretary or chairman of the planning commission may be removed by council as a member of said planning commission, and if so removed, a successor shall be appointed in accord with this chapter.

2.16.040 - Salary.¶
Each member of the planning commission of the city shall receive a salary of one hundred and fifty dollars per month.

2.16.050 - Planning commission to perform design review duties.¶
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, whenever the term "design review board" is used in this code, it shall refer to the city planning commission.

2.16.060 - Bylaws.¶
The planning commission shall adopt, and from time to time may amend, proposed bylaws for the conduct of its business and the holding of regular and special meetings. The bylaws, or any amendments thereto, shall not become effective unless and until they are first approved by resolution of the city council. The bylaws, or any amendment approved by the council, shall become the official bylaws of the commission.
