3-5.1401 - Increase of State speed limits in certain zones.¶
It is hereby determined pursuant to the provisions of Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code of the State on the basis of engineering and traffic surveys and the speed permitted by State law upon the following listed streets of the Town is less than is necessary for the safe operation of vehicles thereon, and that the prima facie speed limits listed opposite said streets are most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and are reasonable and safe; and accordingly, the Council hereby declares the following prima facie speed limits shall become effective when appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected on the streets:

3-5.1402 - Decrease of State law maximum speed.¶

3-5.1403 - Regulation of speed by traffic signals.¶
The Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized to regulate the timing of traffic signals so as to permit the movement of traffic in an orderly and safe manner at speeds slightly at variance from the speeds otherwise applicable within the district or at intersections and may erect appropriate signs giving notice thereof.
