3224 - The traffic engineer to erect stop signs.¶
Whenever any street or portion thereof is designated as a through street, or when the Council directs the installation of special stop signs, the Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain stop signs on each and every street intersecting such through street or portion thereof so designated and at those entrances of other intersections where a stop is required and at any railroad grade crossing so designated by council resolution. Every such sign shall conform with and be placed as provided for in the Vehicle Code.

When any stop signs are in place, the driver of a vehicle shall stop in obedience to the same.
3225 - Emerging from alley, driveway or building.¶
The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway, or building, shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into the street right-of-way, sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any alley way.
