5.15.010 - Kennel defined.

"Kennel" means a facility or site for breeding, boarding, keeping, and/or training of five or more dogs or cats older than four months of age. (Ord. 178 §3 (B), 1988: Ord. 129 §5.15.010, 1985)

5.15.020 - License required of kennel owners.

Every person who owns or controls a kennel shall obtain a kennel license and pay the fees as set by council resolution within thirty days after the kennel is established. (Ord. 129 §5.15.020, 1985)

5.15.030 - Rabies and animal control clearance required.

No kennel license shall be issued unless proof has been presented that all dogs owned by the kennel owner or operator in the kennel have been vaccinated against rabies, nor shall any kennel license be issued until the town's animal control officer or his authorized representative has first issued a certificate that the kennel is operated in a sanitary and proper manner so as not to constitute a nuisance to the neighborhood. 5.15.040 - Zoning compliance required.

No kennel license shall be issued unless evidence is presented that the subject kennel complies with all applicable zoning regulations. (See Title 17 of this code, zoning.) (Ord. 178 §1 (A), 1988)
