Paradise Municipal Code Art. V Building Division

The building division of the community development department of the town is created. (Ord. 218 §3 (part), 1992)

The functions of the building division shall include:

A. To administer Title 15, Buildings and Construction;

B. To act as technical advisor to the town council, town manager and community development director on matters relating to building codes, and Title 24, California Administrative Code;

C. To provide training on building codes and regulations to the construction community. (Ord. 218 §3 (part), 1992)

The building division shall be managed by the building official, who shall be appointed by the community development director. The building official shall act as the building official as specified in adopted building codes of Title 15 of the municipal code and shall be subject to both the community development director and town manager's general administrative direction. In the absence or disability of the building official, the community development director shall designate a person to perform the duties and exercise the functions of the building official.
